Lawmaker says government lacks complex approach to tackle smog problem in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Kyrgyzstan is doing nothing to resolve the smog problem, MP Emil Toktoshev (Ata Meken) said today at the Parliament session.
According to him, a smog problem is raised by the Parliament repeatedly and not the first year, but there are no results of the government works.
"There is no any complex approach. The funds are allocated, but how many air quality measuring plants were installed is not known yet. We are talking about it, but nothing is done," Toktoshev noted.
The quality of air affects the citizens health, he added.
According to him, a number of patients in the hospitals has sharply increased, therefore, many have to lie on the corridors.
