Kulmatov comments on court verdict

AKIPRESS.COM - Ex-mayor of Bishkek Kubanychbek Kulmatov, who was released from custody a year after his arrest being imposed 5 million soms fine for corruption, commented on the court verdict.
He told journalists that he did not expect such a decision. He said he does not agree with the court's finding him guilty.
"We are not guilty at all. Everything that happened is a nonsense," he said.
Kulmatov was fined 5 million soms, while another ex-mayor Albek Ibraimov was sentenced to 15 years in prison for corruption.
They were accused of corruption in construction of a school in Kalys-Ordo residence, embezzlement of funds in of the TNK Dastan JSC and corruption in granting municipal land plots.
