Elimination of outdoor toilets of schools ongoing in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov commented on the process of works on elimination of outdoor toilets in schools, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported. The funds for these works will be allocated from the local budgets, he said.
The Ministry was ordered to provide security of school children taking into consideration of video cameras, guarding and toilets.
The Minister said the volume of funds is different in every region.
According to the Ministry, there are 7,014 schools in Kazakhstan, including 2,514 schools with only outdoor toilets. Schools with outdoor toilets in cities are 157 and 2,353 are in rural areas.
The issue of closing outdoor toilets was raised after the incident occurred in one of the school toilets in Taraz town. The schoolgirl was raped by an unknown when she went out to the outdoor toilet during the lesson.
