AKIPRESS.COM - After German police detained two Mongolian diplomats with drugs earlier in summer, the anti-corruption department of Mongolia decided to hold a number of raids against other diplomats.
The department established that one of the diplomats bought a vineyard mansion in Europe for the funds embezzled from consular and visa fees.
The Mongolian journalists established the name and surname of this high ranked diplomat. According to media, he is Ambassador of Mongoli to Paris A. Battor.
He has been serving as Minister of Education and Vice Minister of Defense earlier.
The anti-corruption department banned exit to the Ambassador from Mongolia, when he came to the country for the meeting of Ambassadors, Mongolnow reports.
