AKIPRESS.COM - The State Agency for Environmental Protection of Kyrgyzstan switched over to a reinforced mode of work from December 25, 2019 to January 8, 2020, the Agency reports.
The decision was made to for immediate respond and prevention of violations of the environmental legislation and boosting works on establishment of violations of hunting rules, poaching, elimination of animal and plant world, air pollution and others.
The department of preserving of biodiversity and specially protected territories of the Agency is carrying out a constant work on detection of violations of ecological laws on Internet sources, where photo and video materials are posted.
A new code of offences and violations has entered into force in Kyrgyzstan from 2019.
The code establishes the sizes of fines for damaging animal and plant world and violation of the environmental legislation.
The government decree dated 2017 also established the sizes of fines for damaging the animal world.
According to the criminal code, illegal hunting with a large harm is punished by a fine amounting to 500-700 calculated rates or correctional works up to 2 years or imprisonment up to 5 years.
