Batken hosts meeting on smuggle prevention

AKIPRESS.COM - The coordination meeting on smuggle prevention issues was held in the Batken region under the chairmanship of regional prosecutor Abdibakyt Halmurzayev on Dec 25. The meeting participants, including representatives of law enforcement agencies, state district administrations and tax authorities discussed the results of the 4th quarter, as well as measures taken to decrease the corrupt practices.
The control and coordination over the work of local government bodies and law enforcement agencies on smuggle prevention was entrusted to the government of the Batken region. In addition, it was decided to send a letter to the Batken's government with proposals to facilitate the delimitation and demarcation of the state border line, since the undescribed areas and enclaves of neighboring states create the conditions for goods smuggling.
The departments of National Security Committee, financial police, customs services were instructed to prevent of corruption offenses.
