AKIPRESS.COM - Police officer Jaksylyk Sultanov, who rescued an infant at the scene of the deadly crash of the plane in Almaty, told about the condition of the baby in the moment he was taken to hospital, Tengrinews.kz reports. "We pulled out people without signs of life at first. As you saw, there were police officers, rescuers and health professional at the scene. We walked around the plane and moved to the side of the private house. There was a woman lying on the ground with open leg fractures. She was not weeping. Probably she was in shock. A baby boy was lying on her chest, she was holding him with her left arm, her right arm was injured. I told her I will take a child and will bring him to the ambulance. She winked her eyes in approval and then she started crying," Jaksylyk Sultanov said.
The police officer added it was necessary to rescue people very fast. "I brought the child to the ambulance, it was a boy," he said.
Jaksylyk has served in police since 2006, he faced such situation for the first time in his life.
The plane en route from Almaty to Nur-Sultan crashed in the morning of December 27. At least 12 people were killed, over 50 were injured.
