Kazakh flag carrier to avoid flying over Iran and Iraq

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakh air company Air Astana will change the flight route from Almaty and Nur-Sultan to Dubai avoiding flying over Iran and Iraq, the company said.
The flight duration of Almaty-Dubai will increase by 20 minutes, Dubai-Almaty for 10 minutes, Nur-Sultan-Dubai by 55 minues, Dubai - Nur-Sultan by 35 minutes.
The company pledged to inform its passengers on time in case of any further changes.
Early on Wednesday, the Ukrainian Boeing 737 crashed near the Tehran airport with more than 170 people on board. There were no survivors. The Ukraine International Airlines plane crashed just after take-off from Iran's Imam Khomeini airport in Tehran, said the Fars state news agency.
