Uzbek man tried to take $40,000 from country undeclared in his sneakers

AKIPRESS.COM - A man with $40,000 in his sneakers was held at the Dustlik customs checkpoint in Andizhan, the State Customs Committee said. The customs officers noticed a suspiciously worried condition of a man heading to the neighboring state.
During the customs check, $40,000 were found in the man's sneakers, $20,000 in each.
The case is under investigation.
According to effective regulations, citizens of Uzbekistan can take no more than $10,500 undeclared out of the country.
