Funeral prayers held for missing Kumtor workers

AKIPRESS.COM - The funeral prayers were held at the site of search operations for two employees of the Kumtor company on Jan 10. The search operation for two workers of the Kumtor mine missing since December 1 was stopped today.
The landslide of mine rocks occurred on December 1 at 5.43 am in the Lysyi Glacier valley. Two workers of the Kumtor mine went missing since that time. The search for them lasted more than a month.
One of the missing workers is mining foreman Omurbek Ishenbekov, born in 1984. He lived in Bishkek.
The second missing worker is Joldoshbek Junushov, bulldozer driver, born in 1972. He lived in Temir-Kanat village, Ton district. Father of 4 children.
