Situation in border areas of Kyrgyzstan with Tajikistan under control of authorities - Interior Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan Col. Almaz Orozaliev headed to Batken region in connection with the Kyrgyz-Tajik border incident, the press service of Batken region police department said. The Deputy Interior Minister will meet police officers and will become familiarized with the situation on the ground.
The situation on the border is under control of police forces, the actions are taken to protect public order and ensure safety for citizens, the press service said.
The alert condition of police officers in Batken region has been raised.
Police officers are working with population of border areas providing necessary explanations to them in order to prevent further escalation of tension on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
