Delegation of Tajikistan arrives in Isfara for Kyrgyz-Tajik border talks

AKIPRESS.COM - The governmental delegation of Tajikistan led by Vice Prime Minister Azim Ibrohim departed for Isfara last night for the talks with the governmental delegation of Kyrgyzstan led by Vice Prime Minister Jenish Razakov set for today.
The talks are supposed to start at 10.00 am, Khovar reports.
The delegation of Tajikistan includes Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda, State National Security Committee Chairman Saimumin Yatimov, Prosecutor General Yousuf Rahmon, Commander of Border Service Rajabali Rahmonali, representatives of the Foreign Ministry and other government officials.
The sides will discuss the measures for stabilization of the border situation, strengthening of border security, preventive measures to avoid recurrence of border incidents, stepped up efforts on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
Separate meetings in Isfara may be held between General Prosecutors, Interior Ministers, heads of Border Services.
The meeting will be held in line with the agreement reached during the phone conversation of the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Two leaders underlined importance of continued bilateral dialogue on border issues.
