AKIPRESS.COM - The population of Kazakhstan as of December 1, 2019 was 18,611,100.
The number of urban population is 10,875,700 (58.4%), rural population - 7,735,400 (41.6%), according to the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of Economic Development.
Compared with December 1, 2018, the Kazakh population increased by 234,900 people or 1.3%.
The population of Nur-Sultan grew by 61.7 thousand, Almaty by 57.8 thousand, and Turkestan region by 38.4 thousand.
