Prosecutor General rebukes Batken authorities over negligence

AKIPRESS.COM - Batken town hosted a coordination meeting on regulation of the border situation on Jan 16 under the chairmanship of Jenish Razakov. The meeting was attended by the Prosecutor General Otkurbek Jamshitov, chairman of National Security Committee Orozbek Opumbayev, Interior Ministry Kashkar Junushaliyev, chairman of State Border Service Ularbek Sharsheyev, representatives of regional law enforcement agencies and heads of local authorities.
The meeting participants discussed the ensuring the public safety in the border zone, provision of stability, as well as holding demarcation and delimitation of the border with Tajikistan.
Jamshitov was outraged that Batken local authorities were inactive in resolution of border incident. The President Sooronbai Jeenbekov holds talks with President of Tajikistan in order to resolve border issue. President send us in order to familiarize with the situation on site and resolve the conflicts. However, the local authorities in Batken are thinking that ‘Bishkek will resolve everything".
