First Vice PM proposes to develop strategy for water conservation

AKIPRESS.COM - The clean drinking water is foremost health for our citizens, including children, said First Vice PM Kubatbek Boronov at the meeting on implementation of work on provision the population with clean drinking water, the government reports. Boronov noted that the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov announced 2020 as a year of regional development, digitalization and children support.
"One of the government's priorities is a provision of 653 villages with clean drinking water. The lack of drinking water results to serious consequences, either for population and environment. We need to resolve water issue as soon as possible. The funds are allocated from the state budget and donors. The action plan on implementation of Strategy for the development of drinking water supply and water disposal of settlements of Kyrgyzstan until 2026," he said.
Following the meeting, Boronov instructed to resolve issues of provision of drinking water to villages in accordance with adopted schedule.
The National Sciences Academy, the National Institute for strategic studies and other relevant state bodies and public organizations were proposed to develop a strategy for the conservation and use of water resources.
