Abdulla Aripov nominated for post of PM of Uzbekistan again

AKIPRESS.COM - The Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople - the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan - on January 18 held a session to consider the results of participation of the party in the elections of the legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the local councils, local media report. Members of the political council discussed the issue of nomination of the candidacy of Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov for the post of Prime Minister of the country.
According to the law, the nominee for the post of Prime Minister of Uzbekistan is offered to the President by a party, which gains the most number of parliamentary seats in the elections of the legislative chamber of the Oliy Mazhilis.
Aripov was nominated for the post of PM of Uzbekistan on December 12, 2016 at the session of the Liberal-Democratic Party. The proposal was considered and approved on December 14, 2016 at the joint session of the legislative chamber of the Oliy Mazhilis and the Senate of the Oliy Mazhilis.
