Difference in salaries of local and foreign workers is inadmissible in Kazakhstan – Tokayev

AKIPRESS.COM - Payment of different sizes of salaries to local and foreign workers is inadmissible in Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said today at the extended government session.
There are more than 200 plants with foreign capital in the country.
According to Vice PM of Kazakhstan Berdibek Saparbayev, the share of Kazakhstani workers is more than 90%.
"We have raided 96 plants with local authorities. Some violations were detected as a result. We have established more than 500 citizens working on the territory of Kazakhstan without a work permit," he said.
According to Saparbayev, Kazakhstan this year decreased the quota for foreign workers by 40% and reduced a number of foreign specialists up to 29,000 in 2019.
