Uzbekistan sets task to educate 1 million programmers

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan is carrying out 1 million programmers program, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in his state of the nation address today. "We have reached agreement with foreign partners, funding is available, now they are obtaining education. The big results will be achieved in the next few years," the President said.
"1 million of programmers is a powerful drive for development of economy and digitization of all branches. We have never set such high target before," the President added.
The President also tasked to finish development of the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 Program within 2 months.
New posts of Deputy Prime Minister for Information Technologies, deputy ministers and vice governors will be introduced, he said.
"We will make institutional changes," the President said.
