AKIPRESS.COM - More than 2,000 people were rescued within 3 days from snowdrift in Kazakhstan, acting Chairman of the Emergency Committee of the Interior Ministry Marat Kuldikov said at the government briefing, zakon.kz reported.
According to him, 200 million tenge have been allocated for the emergency mode in the city.
The emergency was declared after blizzard hit Nur-Sultan, Akmola and Karaganda regions over the past days. The traffic movement is limited in this regard.
Due to the deterioration of weather conditions, the roads are being closed for traffic movement.
There is a lack of equipment in Nur-Sultan for clean up works, Kuldikov noted.
