AKIPRESS.COM - Statistics committee of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan showed inflation at 0.7% (in December 2018 - 0.7%) in December 2019, the National Bank reported.
The annual inflation was at 5.4% (in December 2018 - 5.3%) and is inside the target corridor of 4-6%.
Prices for food products increased by 9.6%, non-food goods - by 5.0%, paid services - by 0.7%, the report says.
GDP growth amounted to 4.5% in Kazakhstan last year.
The main growth drivers were construction (12.9%), trade (7.6%), transport (5.1%) and industry (3.8%). In the manufacturing industry, growth was 4.4%. Investments in fixed assets increased by 8.5%. Inflation is in the planned corridor of 4-6% at the level of 5.4% (in 2018 - 5.3%), according to Prime Minister of the country Askar Mamin.
