AKIPRESS.COM - The second pilot of the Bek Air plane, which crashed on December 27 in Almaty, died of pulmonary thromboembolism bringing the death toll to 13.
The pilot of the Bek Air plane Mirzhan Muldakulov, who survived in crash on December 27, died of pulmonary thromboembolism.
"Yesterday he felt good and was interrogated by specialists on crash investigation and preparing to a big interview," blogger Denis Krivosheyev told on his Facebook.
The pilot was discharged from intensive care unit in early January. Then he was discharged home on January 21 in stable condition, zakon.kz reported.
On December 27, the plane bound for Nur-Sultan carrying 98 people crashed right after the take-off near Almaty airport killing 12 people.
Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar said earlier that icing of the wings, which were not de-iced with anti-icing fluid, was the cause of the plane crash.
