John Kennedy's best seller "Profiles in Courage" translated into Kyrgyz language

AKIPRESS.COM - A book of the former U.S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy "Profiles in Courage" has been translated into a Kyrgyz language.
The presentation of the translated best seller was held on January 30 in the Academy of Management under the President of Kyrgyzstan.
The book was translated by famous historian and journalist Tynchtykbek Chorotegin. The book was issued by the Roza Otunbayeva Initiative Public Foundation as part of the program on translation of books of the U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
Tynchtykbek Chorotegin said the book for the first time was translated into a Kyrgyz language. He told about the goals of this translation.
"We should translate a lot of classics from abroad to read not in their language, but in Kyrgyz to say speak and refer to our own native language. Therefore, this will be an additional working material not only for students and school children, but also for everyone, who is interested in the history," he noted.
