AKIPRESS.COM - The main task in formation of the common market of the Eurasian Economic Union is abolishment of internal barriers barring free movement of goods, services, capital and labor force, Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev said at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty today.
"For 5 years of cooperation one of the important achievements has become creation of the strong regulatory framework serving as the basis for free movement of goods, services, capital and work force. Our Union was created to increase competitiveness of national economies and to create conditions for stable development and improvement of living conditions of our citizens. Yet, we encounter more and more barriers for trade within the Eurasian Economic Union," Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev said.
Kyrgyzstan attaches a great importance to cooperation on the basis of equality, trust and mutual benefit, PM Abilgaziyev said.
National interests should be taken into account when common goals and tasks of economic development of the Union are formulated, he added.
Kyrgyzstan suggests to adopt several measures to effectively abolish trade obstacles, including giving more powers to the Eurasian Economic Commission to cancel the national acts violating EAEU regulations, establishing timeline and order for consideration of complaints about violation of EAEU regulations, giving right to the Eurasian Economic Commission to file claims to EAEU court in case member countries fail to comply with its decisions.
The mechanisms of imposing sanctions and compensations for failure to comply with the decisions of the Eurasian Economic Commission should be considered as well, he said.
Kyrgyzstan urges EAEU countries to adhere to the earlier reached agreements and not to allow violation of the regulations, Prime Minister Abilgaziyev said.
