83 convicted women pardoned in Uzbekistan on occasion of International Women's Day

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on pardoning of a group of convicted women in connection with the International Women's Day.
83 women serving sentences were pardoned, 7 foreign nationals among them.
12 of them were fully pardoned, 29 were released on parole, sentence for 17 was softened. In total, 58 women were released from prisons. Prison terms of 25 women were shortened.
Line ministries and agencies should provide assistance to the pardoned women in their social reintegration, engagement in social sercial, obtaining jobs.
