Kazakhstan mulls launch of distance learning over coronavirus threat

AKIPRESS.COM - Distance learning at schools, colleges and universities may be introduced over coronavirus threat, Chief Sanitary Doctor Jandarbek Bekshin told a briefing today.
"The Ministry of Education and Science has a prepared a package of documents. One of the proposals is to introduce distance learning where infrastructure allows. This applies not only to universities, colleges, but also to schools," Bekshin said.
Distance learning was practiced by certain universities before, he said.
"This is a normal thing and we should take advantage of the latest information technologies," he said.
