AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Zamirbek Askarov on March 10 started a working visit to Batken region, the press service of the Ministry reported. The Minister checked the sites that are at risk of flooding and landslides.
Askarov visited Batken regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, fire fighting team, the third special search and rescue team in Batken town.
He discussed bank protection issues on 150-170 meters of the left bank of the Koja-Ashkan (Sokh) River in Zar-Tash village using big rocks, saying this site is dangerous. The Minister met with locals and ordered to build a dam on the named territory in 2020.
Askarov continues his working visit to Leilek district, Isfana and Sulukta towns.
