Sardor Umurzakov appointed as Vice Prime Minister of Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Sardor Umurzakov has been appointed Vice Prime Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Ties - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade by the presidential order of March 10.
In addition to attraction of investments, promotion of export, foreign trade, coordination of foreign economic activities, Umurzakov will be also responsible for coordination of work of the Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.
Umurzakov, 43, holds Bachelor's degree in economy from the Tashkent State Economic University, Master's degree from the University of Reading (UK).
Umurzakov has worked in the banking system of Uzbekistan for a long time and then in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. Since January 2019, he has held the post of the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade.
