AKIPRESS.COM - The border of Kyrgyzstan with Kazakhstan remains unchanged, the press service of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Locals from Chym-Korgon village, Kemin district, Chuy region staged a rally complaining that 1 km of the Kyrgyz land is passed to the neighbering state.
The border authorities say that the state border line with Kazakhstan has not changed and that it stretches in line with the agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhsan on demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border.
"Thus, despite change of the Chu River bed in Chym-Korgon village separating the territories of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, not a single centimeter on the territory of Kyrgyzstan went to the neighboring country," the statement says.
