Kyrgyz companies start producing single-use and gauze medical face masks

AKIPRESS.COM - To date, 3 companies in Kyrgyzstan are ready to produce and supply the market with the medical face masks, said Vice PM Erkin Asrandiyev on air of Birinchi Radio on March 13. According to him, one of the companies is located on Bishkek free trade zone and was producing the diapers.
"They have same manufacturing technology, so the company is being producing the masks for 2 days. We expect that masks of domestic manufacturers will be delivered to drugstores in a day or two. They have the same quality as foreign companies, as the raw materials are delivered from abroad. One company produces from 20,000 to 30,000 face masks daily," said Asrandiyev.
The production of masks was launched in Osh.
In addition the domestic sewing workshops produce gauze medical face masks.
"The gauze masks are reusable. You can wash them and use again, rather than disposable masks," he said.
