Chuy region should hand over 8,000 ha to Bishkek, but some lands are already built up

AKIPRESS.COM - The territory of Bishkek should be expanded by about 8,000 ha of land until 2025 according to the general plan of the capital.
Expansion of the city was planned due to the growing number of the population of the city.
The general plan implies that the territory of the capital should occupy 27,879 hectares, and the number of residents - 1.2 million people. However, some lands of Chuy region that should be transferred to the city are already built up, mayor Aziz Surakmatov told AKIpress.
According to him, when the general plan was being developed, these lands were not built up.
"Therefore, we will receive lands with objects, including private residences and apartment buildings," Surakmatov noted.
