AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan declared emergency situation, restrictions are reported in 6 border checkpoints, said Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erkin Asrandiyev.
"The borders were closed for citizens only, the cargo transportation will continue, the promise was given, according to the conversation between Kyrgyz Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev and his Kazakh counterpart Askar Mamin," Asrandiyev said.
"Some problems were reported on the checkpoints today in the morning. We will try to reach out the Kazakh side again to resolve the problem," he said.
Each border checkpoint was tasked to strengthen the work.
"Today the government will issue a resolution on state regulation of flour prices and the State Anti-Monopoly Agency will control the flour prices," he said.
A nationwide emergency situation was declared in Kazakhstan over coronavirus outbreak from 16 March 2020 until 15 April 2020. The country ordered a lockdown meaning all means of transport, except for diplomats of Kazakhstan and foreign states and members of delegations of international organizations arriving to Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, would be banned to enter and exist the country.
