AKIPRESS.COM - Control over citizens arriving to the territory of Kyrgyzstan will be tightened, Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev said at the briefing on coronavirus today.
According to him, coronavirus outbreak risk on the territory of Kyrgyzstan is increasing as Covid-19 cases are being confirmed in countries with whom Kyrgyzstan is in close contact.
Authorities of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are holding effective work on fighting coronavirus, he noted.
"We have close economic and social ties with these countries. Thousands of citizens of Uzbekistan arrive in Kyrgyzstan and our citizens go to Uzbekistan to visit their relatives. In Kazakhstan, 60,000 citizens of Kyrgyz migrants work," Abilgaziyev said.
In this regard, the risk of spreading of coronavirus on the territory of Kyrgyzstan has increased and we will toughen control over those arriving in Kyrgyzstan and take urgent measures in healthcare sector, he added.
