AKIPRESS.COM - Council of Ulema of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan has suspended holding the mass events in mosques except for Friday prayers (Jummah prayer) amid coronavirus pandemic, deputy mufti Zamir Rakiyev said.
Religious, cultural and other mass events are prohibited in the mosques of the country.
The time of Jummah prayers will be shortened.
The Council of Ulema also decided to temporarily halt davaat (religious summons), visiting mosques for people with symptoms of illness and older people, and give madrasahs a three-week break.
