Deputy Foreign Minister confirmed as Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul

AKIPRESS.COM - The International Affairs, Defense and Security Committee of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan today confirmed nomination of Nurlan Abdrakhmanov as General Consul in Istanbul.
Abdrakhmanov is current Deputy Foreign Minister. He will replace Erkin Sopokov, who was sacked in November 2019 over possible links with murdered Chinese businessman Aierken Saimaiti. Saimaiti was involved into the withdrawal of a big sum of money from Kyrgyzstan unveiled in the journalist investigative report.
