School teachers in Uzbekistan on paid leave since March 18

AKIPRESS.COM - All school teachers are on paid leave since March 18 in Uzbekistan over coronavirus pandemic. "All school teachers will be on paid leave since March 18. School principals, their deputies, psychologists, cleaners and guards will continue working," Minister of Education Sherzod Shermatov told a briefing in Tashkent.
School students will watch lessons on 3 local TV channels since next week. They will be able to download audiobooks on the website kitob.uz in addition, the Minister said.
School students in Tashkent will get marks online. Electronic class registers will be scaled up throughout the country gradually, the Minister said.
The length of the school break will depend upon further development of the situation, the Minister added.
