Kyrgyz PM: Coronavirus adversely affects not only human health, but also economy and budget

AKIPRESS.COM - The time has come when Kyrgyzstan is facing a huge challenge, said Prime Minister Muhamedkalyi Abilgaziyev delivering a government's report on fight against the coronavirus. "This not only affects people's health, but our economy. There is a huge negative impact on the state budget," he said.
Speaking of closing the border with China, which accounts for 36% of trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan, PM said the government was aware of the strong negative impact.
"Despite this, we value the health of our citizens and had to close borders. We agreed with the Chinese side," he said.
