Apartment block locked down in Almaty for 15 days over patient with COVID-19

AKIPRESS.COM - Sunkar apartment block has become the first area in Almaty placed under full quarantine, which means people living in the block should stay at home for 15 days, zakon.kz reported.
The number of infected people in the block is being determined.
Almaty vice mayor Yerzhan Babakumarov said on March 18 the city has foci of infection.
He has not named the concrete areas, but said the authorities will act in a way to break the chain of coronavirus spread.
Almaty and Nur-Sultan have been locked down since 00.00 of March 19. The cities can't be entered or exited without special passes.
Kazakhstan has confirmed 37 COVID-19 cases so far, including 19 cases in Almaty and 18 in Nur-Sultan.
