AKIPRESS.COM - The Interior Ministry commented on the statements of MP Altynbek Sulaimanov, who said the "crime rate, looting will grow as people around the world are buying guns for self-defense amid coronavirus pandemic panic." The Interior Ministry said the MP's statement could create panic among the population. Police, together with other government agencies, are taking measures to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent the spread of coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan.
"The Interior Ministry continues to work in a reinforced regime. An additional plan of measures has been developed, roadblocks are being set up in places where a state of emergency has been declared, all particularly important objects are under enhanced protection," the statement said.
