Deputy Health Minister says Kyrgyzstan was prepared for viral infection growth, no need to panic

AKIPRESS.COM - As 6 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Kyrgyzstan bringing total to 12, Deputy Health Minister Tolo Isakov said Saturday there is no need for panicking as the government expected the growth of the infected and were prepared. In total of 1,630 people were tracked down to have been in contact with the coronavirus-positive people in Suzak and 700 people in Nookat district. They are all isolated.
"No need for panicking. The situation is stable," he said.
"One of the newly diagnosed people has a diabetes. But all the patients feel well and have no fever," he said.
All 12 cases were imported by pilgrims who arrived from Saudi Arabia after performing small hajj.
