51 sanitary and quarantine checkpoints set up across Osh region, movement of citizens restricted

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 31 roablocks and 51 sanitary and quarantine checkpoints were set up throughout Osh region, region police department reported. After declaration of the nation-wide emergency, in move to prevent COVID-19 spread 2 roadblocks were set up in Alay district, 3 in Aravan district, 11 in Kara-Suu district, 3 in Kara-Kulja district, 5 in Uzgen district, 8 in Nookat district.
Police officers and health professionals were deployed to the checkpoints. The main aim of the checkpoints is to detect those infected with COVID-19, to locate persons contacting the infected and to stop spread of the coronavirus. The restrictions are imposed since March 22 for leaving the area where people live, the region police department said.
