AKIPRESS.COM - Above 250 citizens of Uzbekistan have been stranded on the Dostuk border crossing point trying to cross into Uzbekistan, Turmush reported.
They include mothers with children, elderly people and pregnant women.
Umijon Tashpulatov lives in Andijan region of Uzbekistan. He arrived in Kyrgyzstan a month and a half ago to work at the construction site. He arrived to the Dostuk border crossing point in early hours of March 23 in attempt to cross into Uzbekistan, but was not allowed.
The list of stranded citizens with passport details is made now.
Turmush reported earlier all border crossing points will be closed since 00.00 of March 22, including the borders with Uzbekistan.
All citizens of Uzbekistan staying in Kyrgyzstan were allowed to cross into Uzbekistan and citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan could cross into Kyrgyzstan before the midnight.
Freights are transported without restrictions through Dostuk, Kyzyl-Kiya and Kadamjai border crossing points in both directions.
Around 400 trucks with agricultural products, food products, consumer goods cross the above border crossing points every day.
