Kyrgyz MPs extend period for meetings with electors until April 15

AKIPRESS.COM - The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan extended the period of outreach work with electors with the purpose of prevention of coronavirus infection from further spread until April 15. This information came from the exraordinary session of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan today.
The Parliament earlier suspended its work from March 23 through 27 for the meetings of MPs with electors.
"We won't stop our work. If necessary, we will convene and work without any breaks to adopt documents. We are not on vacations, we are not on leave, we went to meet with local authorities to support their efforts in fight against coronavirus," Speaker Jumabekov said.
"The government is working according to the resolution we passed. The sooner we pass the document, the more time we will obtain for fight. We should not waste remaining time," Speaker Jumabekov said.
