AKIPRESS.COM - 48 roadblocks will be set up around Bishkek, Deputy Interior Minister Almazbek Orozaliyev said at a March 24 meeting of the city's curfew headquarters.
Orozaliyev has been appointed Bishkek commandant of the state of emergency by presidential decree.
Orozaliyev said the situation is difficult today and asked the citizen to understand measures correctly.
A curfew will be in effect from 8 pm until 7 am, movement of all vehicles will be stopped during this time.
"Our first task today is to reduce the number of people on the streets. Many people are still going out. We are locking the city down and deploying 48 roadblocks," the commandant said.
Fifteen checkpoints are being set up with the General Staff, checkpoints will have tents, protective suits, etc., Orozaliyev said.
Total number of coronavirus cases in Kyrgyzstan is 42, including 3 children, as of March 24.
