Uzbekistan building hospitals and quarantine facilities

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan said several urgent actions are taken in the country in connection with hazardous epidemiological situation. Construction of a 10,000-bed hospital is at full swing in Zangiata district outside Tashkent. The hospital is expected to be launched in the near time.
Three hospitals are under construction in Tashkent, including the children's infectious disease hospital (144 beds), children's cardiologic hospital (158 beds). They are expected to be launched in the next few months.
The Tashkent Dental Institute is being reconstructed into a 250-bed hospital. It will be launched in May.
55 ha of land were allocated in Yukorchirchik district of Tashkent for construction of a quarantine facility that will be erected for a short period of time.
Similar facilities for quarantine and treatment of patients with coronavirus are being built in Andijan, Navoi and Surhandarya regions.
