Billionaire Alisher Usmanov: 'When coronavirus vaccine is invented, I will buy and bring it for people in Uzbekistan'

AKIPRESS.COM - President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a videoconference on April 3 in Tashkent on tackling coronavirus crisis, where the President reminded about assistance provided by Uzbekistan-born Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov. President Mirziyoyev said Alisher Usmanov is read to buy coronavirus vaccine when it is invented and to bring it to people of Uzbekistan.
"I would like to thank the son of Uzbekistan, Alisher Usmanov, he donated $20 million to Uzbekistan for COVID-19 fight. Since the very first days of building new Uzbekistan, he is making a big contribution into development of our country," President Mirziyoyev said.
Alisher Usmanov is in self-isolation in his residence in Tashkent for the period of coronavirus pandemic.
