Number of blood donors decreased by 13 times due to quarantine

AKIPRESS.COM - The number of donors sharply decreased due the spread of coronavirus and introduction of state of emergency, said the deputy director of Bishkek state blood center Aiganysh Satybaldiyeva on April 9.
According to her, previously at average of 150-200 people donated blood daily, but to date, the number of donors has decreased by 15 people.
"120 patients need blood every day, and the blood bank is minimal. All planned surgeries are postponed due to the lack of blood," she said.
