AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan dispatched 5,000 tons of flour to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan each, President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev said during the video summit of the Turkic Cooperation Council, the Embassy of Kazakhstan reported.
The video summit was held on April 13 and focused on consolidation of efforts and cooperation in prevention of COVID-19 from further spread.
The agenda of the summit include commercial and transit ties, cooperation in healthcare sector, provision of support to Turkic Council member states.
The leaders exchanged views on the actions taken at the national level to prevent coronavirus from further spread.
The video summit was attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President of Turkmenistan participated in the event as the guest of honor. The Prime Minister of Hungary partook in the summit as an observer.
President Tokayev suggested to develop a joint action plan to overcome effects of coronavirus pandemic.
This document should outline the actions to encourage mutual trade and investments. All will benefit from intensified work of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Turkic Investment Fund, President Tokayev said.
