AKIPRESS.COM - A medical worker of a hospital in Botar, Tajikistan, reportedly died of tuberculosis. This is a hospital where citizens of Tajikistan are quarantined after return from abroad, Asia-Plus reported.
The 58-year-old woman worked in the quarantine facility, the Ministry of Health said.
The cause of death is infiltrative tuberculosis and caridiovascular disorders, the Ministry of Health said.
Between February 1 and April 13, some 7,560 citizens of Tajikistan were quarantined at hospitals after return from abroad.
As of April 13, some 5,724 citizens were discharged from quarantine, 1,836 remain in quarantine facilities.
326 foreigners were quarantined in the country since start of the year, 5 of them still remain under quarantine.
Tajikistan has not registered coronavirus infection yet.
In case COVID-19 case is confirmed in the country, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection will announce it, since it is not in the interest of any country to conceal this infeciton, the Tajik Ministry of Health said.
