Kyrgyzstan due to receive 50 ventilators

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan expects to receive 50 ventilators from international organizations and projects, said the Health Minister Sabirjan Abdikarimov at the joint meeting of two Parliament Committees today.
MP Bakirdin Subanbekov said that there are 649 ventilators in the country, including 150 of them do not operate and wondered why some of them did not operate.
According to the minister, the healthcare organization of the country have 649 ventilators in total, including:
- 211 do not operate, 130 ventilators need repair, 77 are beyond repair;
- 438 functional ventilators.
"We have applied for the purchase of 105 new ventilators. We have 400 ventilators in total," he said.
Six group work on the site to repair 130 ventilators. 700,000 soms were allocated for these purposes, he added.
