Frost in Aksy district causes 19.4 million soms damage

AKIPRESS.COM - The damage from frosts in Aksy district, Jalal-Abad region, is estimated at 19 million soms, district agrarian development department chief Talaibek Samatov said.
Fruits and berries were damaged by frosts in 8 rural municipalities, he said.
Vegetables on 150 ha and fruits on 240 ha were affected by the cold snap. The total damage from frosts reached 19.46 million soms. Vegetables are grown on 1,800 ha, fruits on 1,341 ha every year," Talaibek Samatov said.
The snow 20 cm thick fell in Aksy district in the night of April 9.
